Wiley Road Update - November 2013

We're getting the 'in town' house ready to sell come the spring.  Part of that is transplanting some of our favorites to the farm house.  My brother, Don, creates all sorts of day lilies and we've transplanted those along with iris' from MS that were at my great-grandmother's house.

Green Bay Packers - Boy's Trip

Kurt and Garrett joined Stephanie's Dad, John, brother's Matt and Don and Don's son, our nephew, John Rylee to Green Bay for the weekend.  It was the same weekend as the girl's trip to NC.  They had an amazing time.  It was Garrett's first professional football game.  He was such a sport and loved it.  A few pics of the weekend!

North Carolina Girl's Trip!

Adeline and  I trekked to NC to visit close family friends last weekend when the guys went to Green Bay for a Packer game.  The Braun girls met us there as well to meet up with the Warren family that moved to NC in August.  It was a quick trip but it was amazing.  We had so much fun.  We did nails, chatted, shopped and went to the Children's Museum in Raleigh.

No more braces!!  For now anyway, all braces are off.  Adeline still wears a retainer at night as well a permanent retainer in her top jaw.

Park Fun

While at a birthday party for a friend's daughter, we caught a little slide time.  Crapo Park in Burlington is so fun!

Garrett...our Gman...is 6!

Family and friends visited for Garrett's 6th birthday.  Planes was the theme with a cookie cake and a Planes piñata.  LOTS of LEGOs were received as well as clothes, books.

Our First Kittens!

These two cute kittens were our first barn cats.  Brother and sister from Grandma Webster's mama cat.  Everyday, we ventured out to the farm to feed the kittens and clean the litter box.

Update: Sadly, the kittens were gone by the end of October.  The kids new that it was possible for the kittens to venture off or worse, dinner for the coyotes. :(

Lomax Lap 5k

The inaugural Lomax Lap (5k) in memory of Kurt's dad, Greg. We miss him dearly. Coming in a surprise 1st place was his 9-yr old granddaughter, Adeline. Her very first 5k!   "..and a grand time was had by all..."

Wiley Road Update

A few pics to show off the progress.  All new windows delivered and now installed.  What a difference!  The old fiberboard and plaster is also a thing of the past.
